If chiraq thuggies can intimidate patrol officers, taking the suspect and the evidence, how long till they exercise that force and demand the officers weapons? I try to avoid armchair quarterbacking LE decisions an let the CoC sort it out. I find it odd that there is no reference to the officers bodycam video?

The suspect "known to Police " is probably a frequent flyer and the drugs minimal, which could have led the officer towards the decision to back off. What happens when it's a murder or terrorist suspect under the same conditions?

My how times have changed, when I was a young man if a fellow happened to be queer he would say he wasn’t .
