Was out at my range running cast powder coated 225gr bullets through the 300 BO, the reported wonderful load was a bust in my 16 inch carbine. Was subsonic as advertised but 800 fps is an absolute waste of bullets and powder. Then shot the 200 RCBS and the 250 Hornady with the 358 MGP sighting in the Photon day night scope. More work needed all around, will have to shim the scope mount and run an increased charge sequence for both guns. The 358 is a blind run, with no prior data.

So, after 2 b/o AND a price increase on the S&A magwell, I took your advice, Dan, and bought a WC. Saturday was fit/install day for that on the Rock. After Easter family reunion today it will be range time. And then tonight will be loading time to restock from all the shooting!! Lol
    Thanks for the recommend Dan.

Can you put those same clips on the holster you make and would it still stay tight to the body?

Crazydoc, how do you like that Primary Arms FFP scope? I've been looking at one for my 18" AR as well, I just haven't found one local to check it out.

Price seems good, especially for FFP.

I can, but it doesn't stay tight to the body at all... I use a larger TekLok that adjusts for different belt sizes. Looks like these ones...

Once I shoot it, I'll let you know. The clicks are pretty solid. Has 36.5 mill of total travel. Glass is on par with SWFA. Just need to finish gun, shoot, do tracking test.

I'll do a write up once I have shot/tested it.

Finished a camouflage paint job on an AK47. Keep trying to load a picture here, but just can't seem to do it. Click on the insert image, but the jpg keeps failing.

Looking forward to a range report on the PA-10. I held one yesterday. I haven't seen much online about them since they are so new.

Once I get it all set up, we can meet somewhere and you can shoot it. See how you like it before you buy it. Honestly, it was between this and their other model with the ACSS reticle. Seeing how I hate BDC's I went with just the standard mil dot set up. Once I get the ammo chrono'd and zeroed I can run my findings through a ballistic calculator and know my drop offs. Will also type up a cheat card for the various type ammo that I will be running.

Plus, I think that ACSS reticle is too cluttered. Just my opinion of course.

I always like to look through scopes before I buy. Also the eye relief on this scope is pretty forgiving, along with the eye box. Can't wait to put some rounds downrange!

Here's the lower. Much as I can get assembled as of now. And the buttstock I plan to use. All furniture is FDE.

Today I ordered flush fit magazines for my carry guns. I appreciate a modified concealment type grip, whether shortened or bobtailed, but having a huge base pad sticking out kind of defeats the purpose. I'll run those same mags in competition to make sure they're good to go. I still love and will use my big base-padded mags for competition and carry them for reloads, they just don't carry as well IN the carry gun.
