Yep Rapier, seems like anything you try to do turns into a real CF when beauracrasy gets involved. I'm about to get real down and dirty over this county requirement for back flow valves on the water meter if you have a well. Utter horseshit. My well water tests better than the crap ECUA is pumping into my house and charging me for. I also, at this point have no intention of hooking my well up to the house water supply. I'm completely convinced this is a scam between the commissioners and plumbing companies. If these jackass think I need a valve, let them bust off a $1k check.

I ordered 2K 180gr .40 bullets this morning and the .40 barrel for my Tanfo Limited should have shipped yesterday. Dillon caliber conversion and race holster, belt and mag pouches will be ordered soon.

I stripped some more paint off of that Rem 700 stock last night. That thing will be the death of me. Anyone got a long action magnum ADL stock they want to sell?

Easy to strip with a food saver machine. Use the roll type. Seal one end. Cut it off long enough to have 6-8 inches extra. Put the stock in, pour in enough stripper to coat every thing. Not necessary to "float" it in stripper. Fold the open end over a few times and put some kind of clip on it. Tomorrow it will all strip off easily. The trick is to keep the stripper from drying out.

Unfortunately I don't have one of those food saver's and I'm already about 90% done. Another problem is that it seems like the paint is embedded into the grain of the wood in spots and I can't seem to get it out. I also discovered last night that the stock has a small shake in it near one of the action screws on the bottom. It shouldn't have any effect on the rifle, but it may be worth just buying a replacement stock.

I finished stripping the Rem 700 stock this afternoon. There was so much gray paint still imbedded in the grain that I couldn't oil or clear it and it look right. So, I shot it with 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of Rustoleum Hammered black paint tonight. I'm going to get up at 3am to put it together before I head to work so I can hand it off to Kenny from Kenny's Gun Room tomorrow afternoon to hopefully sell at the gun show in Robertsdale this weekend.

shot the TRP today. She is nice and tight and will take a lot more rounds to get her broken in. Hopefully I can swap some Wilson springs in and get some more range time before USPSA

Today I woke up early and put the Rem 700 back together. It's not perfect, but it looks 1000% better than it did when I got it. I took some photos of it once the sun came up and listed it for sale. I also educated someone about the legalities of buying/selling firearms across state lines.
