Mounted a standard one piece scope base, so that I have the gross windage adjustment if it is needed.

Then researched the 358 Win 200 cast lad data and dd not find a 1680 load so decided a Unique load at 1,500 to 1,600 would be just the ticket to start the smoke test with on the 358 Conversion.

sent about 150 .22LR down range. I like the YoDave extra power firing pin spring. It seems to have taken most/all of the creep I was experiencing in the new straight bow Timney trigger. I almost kinda believe the factory trigger is better...at least it is more adjustable.

Watched my buddy finish up another buddy's Savage 99...couldn't find another .308 barrel so he re-chambered a 300 Savage barrel from FleaBay

Watched some vids on U Tube on praire dogs and thought .....Sure I can shoot them with the new 700BDL 30/06.
Great ! A bit sadly my older brother sent me his exact rifle as yours above . He passed about a month later . What immaculate condition and boxes of SST's I loaded him a few years prior for deer hunting .
