All I was trying to say in the beginning was that we knew that it would be like this, and we just need to relax and wait. Nothing more we can do now. If it doesn’t go our way, we will have to deal with it then.

Time to hunker down and assess. What will be the challenges if the democrats control the white house and house. They do not control the supreme court and maybe not the senate.
For guns no one is saying anything bad about pump shotguns and lever actions rifles. I can handlethese well enough. I still have my S&W model 15 with speed loaders and lots of brass, bullets, but not quite enough primers.
I guess I will store hundreds of pounds of food this winter and plant some gardens. I will miss the interest earnings on my 401K.

Even with Biden in charge the USA is still a wonderful country

I love this USA that is always a land and people greater than our rulers.

You know, its all fun and games when we see "Kamala 2021" campaign signs.... but I bet Kamala would shit a brick on live prime time TV if somebody put out a "Pelosi 2022" advertisement

They will try and outlaw semiauto rifles and such but I don't believe they'll try and come claim those already in the hands of law abiding citizens. My guess is they'll try and make ammo too expensive to stock pile so take inventory of what you have and try and stock up on what you don't have. I'll be taking an inventory of my ammo this weekend, I'm in pretty good shape but I know I have some new calibers I might be a little short on. I wish I had a 6.5 Creedmoor, every time I go to Bass Pro that is one of the few rifle rounds still on the shelf, that and 300!

My thoughts are it will be a process similar to Australia, England, Scotland, etc.

While I will obey law, it could be like the bump stock ban. Just how many bumpstocks got turned in. Repeating I will obey all laws, but many will not and so it will not be like Australia, etc where likely most meekly turned in the guns. Some people for years have been doing paperless sales of guns, including ARs. Also I wonder just how many 80% receivers have been competed to 100% and out there.
Biden or Kamala will give the ATF, FBI, and homeland the go ahead to look for such contrabands and we could be living in interesting times.

That might be the "vision" of the Socialists-Formerly-Known-As-DemocRats, but it will NOT be the same result.

There was a running joke when I was active-duty that all we had to do was give the 70+ year old retired vets some hardware and turn them loose on the enemy. They'd fight with skills, they'd fight Smart, they'd fight dirty, they wouldn't stop until they were mission complete, and they'd fight to the death because they had a great life, they had a deep appreciation for what they were fighting for, and they could go out swinging for a noble purpose.

I now have a deeper understanding of how true that "joke" really is.

In hindsight, the hidden beauty of that story/reality is that the current/young generation was doing the heavy-lifting and work so the older-yet-still-quite-capable generation didn't have to come back and do it. We were proud to continue the sacred duty and further to prepare the next folks to carry the baton. THAT's the American Spirit: be grateful, work hard, teach the next generation, enjoy your well-earned prosperity.

I just don't see how socialists have a chance here.

Oh they will try, though. Those selfish bastards will push the boundaries over and over...

3wear tv yesterday interviewed Bass Pro and there are still people shopping for a pistol and ammo. Certain calibers were just not there.

I just checked SGAmmo and I only saw one slot for rather expensive 7.62x39 in stock. Most was like this
