I've pretty much used Hoppes #9 all my life.

What do you use? Pros/Cons of what you use?

However, I still like the smell of Hoppes #9 the best. It's like an aphrodisiac. Pro - This would be at my top of the CLP list. Con - This stuff is not cheap to purchase, but as they claim, "a little goes a long way."

I do like Ballistol as well. It will melt black powder residue for sure. They won't share what's in it that smells, well like you know what G-rat said. I do agree that it is an acquired smell.

Hoppes, Bore Tech, Butch's, Sweets, I have a lot of stuff on my bench, all work well.
Add sweetshooter and weapon shield aka firepower to this list and that about sums up the cleaner/lubricants on my bench.

Also use mobil delvac 1300 super 15w40 as a lubricant.
