As a newer member of the "gun clan" I think I can add something to this. I've been to the big show here in town several times, twice to Milton and once to Robertsdale. The Pensacola show is, I think, geared more towards newer enthusiasts and you get kind of dazzled by the crowd and the huge selection. You're sort of pushed to keep moving. And you get kind of sensory overload. A new guy tends to get into a buying fever and may not shop wisely. I am a little guilty of that and I learned from it. I believe the big promoters count on us as easy pickins. The Milton show was much more laid back, less crowded, the people friendlier with a more knowledgeable base. I think a new guy would do much better to go to the smaller venues if he is considering a new purchase, especially something high dollar. Robertsdale was somewhere in the middle.
