I just got done piecing together one for myself.
A 40SW P320 subcompact slide/barrel with a shortened compact grip and subcompact grips and a bunch of magazines to match both. Not even shot it yet (now everyone in my circle is out of ammo! LOL!)
Probably cost me quite a bit more than single gun at retail but nobody had one nearby in my searches.
I'd hate to let it go, but I guess I could build another, or you could do the same.

Mentioning duty, are you a first responder or military? There are some websites that say they are in stock, they sell only to LEOs, military, or other public safety officers... and at a discount. Hope that helps, it would also be much cheaper than building one as we've discussed previously.
