    While I have never done it some guys I used to shoot with would use mag primers in non-mag rounds with no issues at all. I've been meaning to load up identical rounds with each primer and do a chrony test to see if there is any difference. If I remember correctly mag primers just burn a little hotter.

    Have been using both types recently in 9mm, 223 and 6.8 with no issues. Was told by another reloader with a lot of experience to drop charge by .2 grs. Tried some 6.8 this last weekend with same charge and different primers with no difference in accuracy.

    Yes you should drop two grains to start. If you are not near max it might be. A lot had to do with the powder you are using.
