      Are you a Dipp (er)...?

      With rifle, I only load 10-15 at the time. I weigh every charge. I use a dipper to put the powder in the powder dish, but that's as far as it goes. I suppose dipping for .45 or any other pistol load.

      what calipers do you use

      Like John, I use the frankford arsenal el cheepo, but I turn off the light as soon as it comes on. I need to change batteries. The ones in it are 3 years old. I also use a cheap digital caliper, but it's dead on.

      Yeah, Frank, I got 3 boxes last week. 40-50 year old shells that look like they did when they were new. My Dad's gonna love having them even though he'll never shoot them out of any of his 6 or 7 16 ga. Model 12s. I'd bet money that there would be one or fewer FTFs in the bunch.

      Keeping a loaded weapon in your safe?

      We always have neighbor kids and spend the night kids over, so I don't leave loaded guns out in the open before bedtime, but before that ni ni kiss, the loaded hardware with the night sights is within reach.
