I agree with the respect. I have had several interactions with the local police while carrying my gun. I have never had any issues because I always let them know right away that I have a permit, have my weapon on me, keep my hands up and make no fast moves, etc. I even had one cop tell me "if...
I just had an excellent transaction with bbyrd130. I read this post but decided to give him a chance on a rifle I was selling. He met me at the planned location on time. The transaction could not have been better. Sometimes life happens and people can't hook up for whatever reason. I would sell...
Sold! Nice smooth transaction with bbyrd130.
8mm Mauser Model 98 Imported by TGI of Knoxville Tn. S/42 dated 1936. Serial numbers on the bolt and other parts do not match. I was told by a Mauser enthusiast that because of this it is recommended that the chamber be checked with a go/no go gauge...
I appreciate it. I won an auction for a parts kit for it and am waiting for it to arrive so I hopefully have whatever part it may need. I know I could send it back to Taurus but don't want to wait forever to get it back. I will get with you when the parts kit gets here. Should be any day.
I am looking for a good gunsmith around Crestview. My wife dropped her Taurus 85 and now the hammer will not stay cocked. Functions fine in DA. I have been to one gunsmith in town and will not go back to him. Took him a semi auto that hated anything but ball ammo. He supposedly polished the feed...
I carried a Sig P239 for a few years and liked it but hate the double action only. Now I carry a Beretta PX4 subcompact. Now I have what I like. A gun with hammer that is single action and more capacity while still having a weapon that I can hide under my shirt. Strikers are ok, just not my cup...
I wanted add that he said the rifle had only been fired once by him. After tearing it down for cleaning, I found it to be like new with no cleaning needed. A man of his word!
No other lube needed. Heat parts in an oven or with a blow dryer . It is a paste that liquefies when it hits the warm metal. There is a small tube of lube included for points that you absolutely want lubed, but you only need a few drops.
50 rounds shot today. No issues. Smells good. A simple wipe down and a light relube. Carbon, etc just came right off with no scrubbing. I like it. Even though I could not see it on the gun after I applied it, it definitely was there upon disassembly. It must, as they claim, get absorbed in the...
I second buying one that is rated for more guns than you have. There is no way either of my safes would hold what they are advertised for without them hitting each other.
