I'm not a huge fan of the sig brace. It was ok but I didn't keep it very long. Also the only AR pistol I'd go for is a 300BLK. Using polymer a lower, pencil thin barrel, skeletonized stocks you can build a really LW carbine.
I don't know of anything specific but I'd really like a nice custom long range rifle, 338 Lapua or bigger. Maybe a GAP, I'd like to see for myself if they're truly as special as they say they are.
It's a pretty impressive facility. Cabins are simple and nice. We brought a grilled and grilled with others both nights. It's a free shoot. Instructors will help if asked. Second we shot from ~60 foot tower. I highly recommend it.
Check out Talon Range in Tallahassee also. They do USPSA on the first Saturday of the month I think. Not sure how much further or closer that is for you.
Bullets do strange things. I don't know if I'd feel comfortable shooting at non-flat metal targets. Look up on youtube for people shooting tracers during winter time. Those things go in all kinds of directions.
