    I hope so.

My only shipping experience was the opposite. The "lady" at FedEx argued up and down with me that an individual could not ship a firearm, period. I was shipping a pistol back to the manufacturer for warranty work. I would not leave until she called her supervisor. He educated her but she still pissed and moaned about it through the entire process.

As a side note, the factory sent my pistol back US Mail and they left it in the mail box up on the road.

F&S, I hope you hire a lawyuh... You went through 4 weeks of needless anxiety because of an ill-trained inept DUMBASS... and on several levels. Your contact in ATF would make a helluva witness. I say, go for their gun hating throats.... YES!

I thought thee was a drive on ferry from Seattle to Anchorage? It would take few days but the guns could have ridden your car. USA to USA? MAybe I am wrong and that system no longer exists..

No - it still exists. I believe I mentioned in the thread that I would have preferred to drive to Bellingham, WA and take the ferry to Whittier, AK. However, the only sailing date that would have worked for my schedule had no vehicle or cabin space left available...

No reason to sue - I got my stuff, and ended up paying nothing for shipping. My rifle cases were not broken into (either they had a key that worked, or they just bypassed opening them).

So, I really didn't incur a loss - other than deprivation of my property for a month and much worry and stress...

Glad that it all worked out for you in the end and that you got all your items in your hands.

Now all you need to do is now write a book on what to do and not to do?

Stay Cool and get your blood pressure under control after this   :peace: :fish2:
