How do you like that stock? I've had one on my wish list for a while, but other stuff keeps taking priority.
I prefer fixed stocks in general, and this is the best fixed stock on the market (unless your bench-resting), for running and gunning. It's very light and the texture is very comfortable. We'll see how it runs. I expect that the rifle buffer system will reduce the non-existent recoil even more.
Next, I'd like to try an adjustable gas block, but really, how soft can a 223 be?

Dang. It just moved up a couple places on my list. The only problem is that if I get one, I won't be able to fit it in my case. I have to collapse my CTR all the way to get my rifle to fit as it is.

It does make it long, but I like a long LOP. You can run it without the pad, and there's an entry length model as well. Sell the case, easy fix. I was skeptical after running SOPMOD profile stocks for a while, but actually prefer the cushiony-ness in this one.

I've had a ACE skeleton stock on one of my ar's for about 8 years. It's great, I wouldn't change it out for anything else.

I've never shot IDPA, 3 gun, or anything like it, but I've always been intrigued by the 3 gun rifles.

This rifle was my first AR and has been ever-evolving. I recently made some "small" changes, that have made a big difference.

    Check it out

Warne Ramp that I purchased from a forum member

this kind of shows the evolution of this rifle along the years.

I'm digging that scope mount. Very nice! The Ace stock should lighten it up a bit, as would a fortis or smooth tube style handguard, though the fortis looks better, but you knew that. DD makes a pretty sweet tube though. I had a VFG, but I've done without it, I grip as far out as I can anyway. Very nice rifle, Sir.

    I have a Fortis on the 6.8

I like the VFG cause I can pull back into my shoulder. I use it kinda like an angled foregrip in that I dont hold it vertically but rather hold the rail and the vfg at the same time, hard to describe but I'm sure you get it.

Yeah, that's how I was gripping it too. We'll see how it feels on the move.

Yes, your Fortis was the first I ever saw and LOVED IT!!!

if I ever get a Sat off or an event is ever held on a Sunday, I'd love to make it out and work my guns. *sigh - hard work buys guns, but time to use them is lacking

IDPA is the third Saturday and fourth Sunday, I think. TennJeep usually corrects me. My point is, it's on a Sunday once a month. You'll be hooked.
