    Just went to the Gander Mountain web site and they are announcing that they are going out of business and closing all of their stores.
    Perhaps their "Going Out Of Business" close out prices will bring some of their prices down to actual RETAIL!

    I think they will could remain as an online store because of brand recognition and probably do well if they adjusted their pricing accordingly.
    I did some work for a young couple in their mid to late twenties not long ago in Pensacola. They were paying cash for a $350K home. I asked the young man what he did for a living and he told me they have an online store.
    They are selling plus sized womens clothing. Go figure.

    Anyone can save and pay cash for a house. Not hard to do.

    I see they are putting a Dick's Sporting Good store in Pace.... I don't see that lasting long either.

    Prices were 10-30% off when I was in there a few days ago...guns and ammo were excluded. Prices were still too high, I walked out with a Gatorade and 300 CCI BR-2 primers simply because that's all I needed

    This says Campers World bought Gander at bankruptcy sale so it must be them doing the sales?

    http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2017/05/camping_world_buys_gander_moun.html

    I thought you meant Campers World...The one out on Hwy 29....I thought Damn !!! Camping World....

    According to the link...the auction for Gander Mountain didn't really bring that much money...$ 37.8 Million....Hell by the prices they were charging for stuff on Airport ...that store had more money in it than that !!! They sucked anyway .....
    Now back to your regularly scheduled program.....

    I don't understand why all those highly paid executives didn't stop and say "Hmmm, high prices aren't working, maybe we should change our business model."
    That could easily be my favorite store but I hardly ever go in there because of the prices.

    Stopped by again tonight to see if there were any other good deals, there weren't. But I did over hear a customer ask the manager if guns were going to be discounted in the fututue. The response was "if they don't ship them to a different store in a better market they might lower the prices 5-10%"

    Like most stores "sales",their stuff is already 15% overpriced then for the sale,it is marked down 10%. Willing to bet that during their going out of buisness sale, stuff (especially) guns, will still be above the LGS's and 10-15% above the internet.
    Got a question for ya'll - - -> How many guns have you bought from a LGS in the last year ??
    Me - - -> ZERO !! --- SAWMAN

    I assume that you do not consciously overpay. So help out your fellow forum members and tell us what LGS's did you find 8 good deals in ?? --- SAWMAN
