Just remember... on short notice, you can wrap anything in concrete, and a single cutoff/demo saw blade is hardened steel and will stop 9mm FMJ point blank while still being thin and lightweight. Can layer multiple saw blades, cut to shape. Can even wrap vehicles in concrete, like the Isrealis did

Some of the first "armored" vehicles that actually looked like a "street" vehicle, pretty much involved pouring concrete inside the doors. Not the best gas mileage, but...

Considering the accuracy of the average Joe civi, they ain't hittin' center mass where your plates are. Just a thought...
No argument/insult intended. Some of us have been around and seen enough to have adjusted POA away from center-of-mass to what will put 'em down.

An oldie but a goodie, Google Rhodesian Mozambique or Failure to stop drill. (Invented by/for you 9mm guys ) Caution: ain't no good if ya don't practice it until it's second nature. Can be run/repeated in seconds once learned, and doesn't involve shooting behind you, until slide-lock, while you get/run off the X....

Another piece of wisdom based on readily-available advice of professional and dangerous game (humans qualify) hunters: Use an appropriate caliber for the game pursued. Too much is never enough. When it comes to a "charge" shoot to break 'em, then take 'em.

No pressure, just opining, and offering fodder for the interested. Back to the show.

body armor is good... as long as you don't get shot in the face or pelvic girdle. a good ballistic helmet is also a must. level 4+ ceramic plates are in my kit, 3A soft rolls with me to and from work or on road trips. rather have it and not need it right?

Sorry guys, my bad. Mozambique drill, nor Rhodesian drill. Same continent any way. O-l-d is acting up.

"The Mozambique Drill is intended to ensure that the target is immediately stopped, by first placing two shots into the larger, easier-to-hit mass of the upper body, then, if the target is still active, following with a third, more precisely aimed and difficult head shot. Due to factors such as body armor, the bolstering effect of drugs, or failure to hit vital organs, the body shots may not be immediately effective, necessitating the third shot. To guarantee instant incapacitation by impacting the brain and central nervous system, the head shot must be delivered to the area between eyebrows and upper lip, otherwise, various bony areas of the skull could deflect the bullet."
