The construction of the $300,000 fence was funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a county spokesperson said. The 1,024-foot-long, 8-foot-tall fence is designed to meet Homeland Security requirements and will allow county officials to lock down the facility in the event of a security threat.
The Public Safety building houses the Emergency Operations Center, the headquarters for emergency response during hurricanes, floods, severe storms and other disasters.
A county spokesperson said it was critical the facility remain operational during an emergency and that the fence was built as a contingency to keep county officials and leadership safe in a worst-case scenario.
The spokesperson said that because the fence comprises part of the county's "security system plan," Florida statutes prevent the county from disclosing precise details on when the fence would be utilized.

Ok, chew on this for a bit...
Our boys and girls, God bless them, trained and talented as they are, cannot effectively defeat a bunch of barefoot goat suckers.
Why is this? Guerrilla warfare. Much of the same that would be encountered if they were turned on the civilian population, except that our population happens to be the most highly armed the world has ever seen, and there are a lot more vets than there is active duty. Put your ego aside and chew on that for a minute.
Let's add it all up
Black hawks doing touch and go in urban cites supplying cover for for civilian e-vac
Local LEO working with the military on training ops
disasters emergency response*buildings getting home land security fences
Fema camps popping up and stocking up on water, food and med supplies
calling in more UN solders and vehicles
Texas is to be called a hostile state
And Isis camps 8 miles south of Texas
Umm
something to think about
Or maybe the USA is going to enslave it's people
From the deep woods
1. They are quite a bit more than a bunch of barefoot goat suckers.
