Each day, 25,000 people, including more than 10,000 children, die from hunger and related causes. Each freaking day! You would expect all the good people of the world working 24/7 non stop so no kids die everyday from hunger. Do you know anyone loosing appetite over it? Do you expect people to put down their burgers?

I am just saying if we were vacationing there, I would be at my resort, on the beach, ANYWHERE but wandering thru burned out communities to get snapshots. Beauty of life is that it seems perpetually going forward no matter what. We don't all die of grief because someone in another state died in fire. It is human nature. Keep going.

And one more thing. If I lost property, or loved ones in tragedy, paying attention to tourists on the street would be my very last concern.

I am not “More sensitive than others” I am “More sensitive TO OTHERS” there is a difference my friend. And THAT right there is what is wrong with society. We are not sensitive to what others are feeling, going thru. It’s called “Empathy”. I saw a video tonight they have shut the road down and not letting supplies n. Hawaiians are using boats to get food and water to the residents. One news station is reporting that a power line started a fire and the fire department responded and reported it was fully out but then it re-ignited . He should be put on trial for negligent homicide for his part in every death that happened in that fire after the official request for water reached his desk and he withheld access to the water
