Remember the COVID supply chain issues ? When these guys strike tonight it will cost the US economy 5 billion per day. And for every day, they strike they are saying it will take the supply chain 5 days to recover. They are saying cost of goods will skyrocket. Just went and bought a ton of meat for the freezer. It is going to get ate anyway. We buy bulk for everything else so we are good for a while. Biden could intervene but says he won’t, of course not Harris needs them union votes. The union president exact words said “we will cripple the US”. Here we go.

I grew up in union country and they can go pound sand . They may have started out to be a good thing. What they have evolved into is for people that are too stupid to negotiate their own worth. Hopefully the union president dies of anal cancer while he has itchy, anal warts and two broken arms.
Yep, I said what I said, don’t really care if it offends union members.

There is NO WAY they should have this much power to affect people’s lives. Look at these people affected by hurricane Helene, that desperately need food and supplies and now they do this ????

Exactly, it won’t happen, but I’d love to see the current administration do like Reagan did to Air traffic control. If for no other reason, just so I could hear a bunch of union workers cry about losing their jobs to people that actually give a shit about the country.

Unions are in bed with democrats, so F them. I absolutely hate democrat and their supporters. F all of them
If they do strike , the stores will jack up their prices so , will Biden order them back to work so Harris and the Dem's. won't get the blame ? Hell , I wouldn't mind seeing $ 4.00 / Gal. gas here which means $ 7.00 /a Gal. in a lot of places. Although most in those areas have already voted.

Interesting thread on another forum by a dock worker.

    His words,

We're not going to reach an agreement. USMX keeps making ridiculous offers. We have given in for years on contracts that didn't keep up with inflation and our retirement. They want to automate our jobs out of existence to save money. None of the shiplines are American owned so all the money goes overseas. The cost to bring a Container across the ocean is up 400% since last October 6.

All the American terminal operators are on our side. Good to go with the local contacts and don't want a work stoppage. They are at the mercy of these foreign shipping lines. When covid hit we never stopped working just keep turning and burning 24 hours a day keeping the economy going and food on the shelves.

These shipping lines make huge profits in the billions and our labor costs I was told are around 4% of there operating cost. We work faster than the automated terminals in Europe.

They are averaging 120,000 annually, if you can’t live on that you got problems, I live great on less !
