The stock market for the average man is a blind crap shoot. Pick a mutual fund and stick with it. Now if you are a politician privy to insider information feel free to pick stocks. The fact they allowed to invest at all in individual stocks is ludicrous.

You invest, don’t look at it every day, just once a year and adjust accordingly. Investing - and especially the market - is always the long game.

I once had a financial planner tell me that it’s amazing how many of his clients want to buy high and sell low.
You sell while it’s down and you’ve locked in that loss. Otherwise it’s just a blip on the radar.
