If you make it to Fairhope, hit up the Piggy Wiggly. They have an excellent selection and even have a few beers on tap for filling growlers.

I'll have to check out the piggly wiggly in. Spanish Fort. I usually got to Rouses, they have quite a bit to choose from.

In honor of the older vets and Veterans Day,gotta ask:
    1. Have you ever had a warm or not cold Tuborg out of a can that was either free or you paid $.25 in MPC for ??
    2. Have you ever has a warm Carlsberg out of a glass bottle ??
    3. Have you ever had a "33" Beer in can,bottle,or draft ??
    4. Have you ever been on I & I and had more than a few San Miguel "painted label" from a bottle ??
    5. Have you ever had to open a Schlitz with a "church key" or the P-38 that was on your dog tags or key ring ??

Sure you have .... you probably just was too damned drunk to remember it. --- SAWMAN

Thanks for the tip. Don't see to many growlers down here.
The best place to get growlers filled is Old 27 restaurant, a little south of the Fairhope Walmart. They've got quite a few beers on tap and they've got growler prices for everything.

I thought that place was just a hole in the wall burger joint. I'll have to check it out.

I just posted in the Stream of Consciousness thread, but I guess it's appropriate here as well.

I picked up some Abita Amber and Not Your Fathers Root Beer, didn't much care for the NYFRB but the Abita Amber paired well with fried oysters.

Football Saturday, house to myself, not shit to do(no schoolwork, no nothing), so what do I do? Went to the Pig in Fairhope, and picked up Good People Pale Ale/Straight to Ale Sand Island Lighthouse/Avondale Battlefield IPA and a growler of Fairhope Judge Roy Bean. Decided I would support the local brews today. Thanks Jeep for the heads up on the Pig. I think it just became my go to beer spot.

No problem. I'm stuck at work for a while, but I'll be swinging by there on my way home.

Just had two growlers filled at Pensacola Bay Brewery. Li'l Napoleon IPA & Riptide Amber. Starting the game with an IPA.

Anybody ever tried Guiness Nitro IPA? Had a couple at a BBQ last night and was surprised how good they were. Usually not a fan of IPAs but these werent bad, probably not something that a hardcore beer nut would like but I liked them.
