I remember going to a gunshow at the pensacola fairgrounds in 1985 admission was $2 w/ military ID and purchasing a brand new in the box Ruger Security Six stainless .357 for $239. Wish I still had that gun those are fantastic revolvers that are built to last a few lifetimes!

Was the guy with all the nice Smith and Wesson revolvers there?
He’s usually set up on the right hand side and all his stuff is in nice cabinets.
    I’ve had a hankering lately for a Model 60.

Thank you mac the knife for a very informative post. I would like to go tomorrow, but it looks like it would be a super spreader place with most not wearing mask. Those prices are about what I was expecting.

    Yay capitalism!

All of these people save the ones between 18-22 have had years to prepare. They just preferred to spend their money on other shit. Free MFing country and I give absolutely zero Fs that they are getting bent over when it comes to stuff.

No argument from me. I slowed down when it hit $8 and quit going when it hit $9.
It was just entertainment for me. I rarely found anything I wanted.
But, sounds like it’s crowded lately so they won’t miss us.
They will miss us once things get back to normal "IF" they ever do! But you can bet that they will never lower the price for admission.

It will get back to normal - capitalism. Supply is going into overdrive and at some point it will out pace demand. Prices will go down.

Agreed, UNLESS there is an outside force preventing the supply from catching up to demand.

With the ammo tax and no online shopping there will have to be a new normal, maybe where it is today
