But self defense using a firearm does have an age requirement by law!

You're mixing apples (laws governing the right to self defense) and oranges (minor in possession of a firearm while not supervised)... you are also posting as if you're offended or worked up about the subject, if so, not intending to offend, if not, good, just having an internet discussion and bouncing about thoughts and ideas.

There have been plenty of incidents where minors and felons have used firearms in self-defense, I've worked such incidents myself on the job.

Cite me a law that says a minor can't use a firearm in self-defense, not a law that says a minor can't possess a firearm unsupervised... that we all know is true.

So, like I said, the fact he may or may not have been in possession of a firearm lawfully has no bearing on the legality of the U of F.

In regards to the rest of your post, can't argue the sound logic in that.

You are probably right about being charged with a crime for using a firearm/force in a self defense situation etc...

if he was let out with that by parents, i question their judgement....

i don't care about the thugs that got whacked, but now, his life is permanently altered...glad he is not dead, but this case has many ramifications...on several levels...

in enough hot water now, he should have shot a few more.....

A link to Kyle R's background.

Notice the liberal slant to the article... and I bet the Trump campaign that is distancing itself from him is in that area and is probably fairly well slanted left, too

There were some that claimed Kyle had a criminal background, but this article makes him sound like a police groupie and not someone that has a police record. Can you or someone else post a better background article on him.

He's a teen who idolized LE and wanted to be one, whom of us didn't have that innocent or hopeful attitude at that age?

Sure, we can discuss wherever his enthusiasm was excesive, or wherever he shouldn't have gone.

But let's be honest, he performed admirably in a situation where he was surrounded and under attack by hostile parties.

He showed more backbone than pretty much everyone else, and did more to protect the city and stop the riots than the PD, the guard or our dear tweeting president.

Have you noticed how the media is trying to spin this? Kid shoot a pedo, a wife beater and an armed felon. Yet the left is painting them as saints. They know better than to attack their own.

And that's why they are the ones wining. We have to circle wagons around this kid and push back. He made mistakes, but he's in the end one of us, an American tired of this crap, who stood his ground as our forefathers did. And now enemies, DOMESTIC are out for his blood.

I stand with him no matter what and I'll damm sure donate to his defense fund, and spread the truth far and wide.

Or we can fight amongst us as to wherever he made mistakes or not, and let him be crucified. We can hand the left another victory i guess, and set a presedent where self defense is effectively ilegal

As the mother of Blake said quite corretly, it is wise to distance/refrain from speaking before knowing all the facts. Besides, the Trump campaing is correct in *distancing* themselves instead of politicizing this event.

Our "dear tweeting President" is respecting the Constitution and following the law.
He is also not the parent responsible for this teenager nor anyone else exercising the freedoms this country affords.
