I got talked into doing a Fireball shot at a bar once. It's Cinnamon Schnappes, Hot Sauce and something like diesel fuel. Went down and straight back up.

Anyone ever do a Four Horseman shot? Someone bought me one on my 21st birthday. It's a double shot consisting of 1/2 shot each of Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Johnny Walker Black and Jose Cuervo. That was probably the most horrible drink I've ever experienced.

On another note, has anyone ever tried a Pickleback? It's a shot of whisky followed by a shot of pickle juice. Sounds very strange, but it's surprisingly good.

I don't drink much any more - but when I do it is normally a good whiskey - doesn't matter if it is Bourbon, Sour Mash, Rye, Scotch, Irish or a Canadian Blend. Always up as good whiskey should be consumed. I do like the occasional Gin Martini but again good Gin makes the difference, I prefer Bombay Sapphire but Tang will do in a pinch - very dry and very cold...vermouth opened in the next room in sufficient. I pass on anything with Vodka - and seldom consume anything from Mexico - had all I could handle and more in my youth - too many long nights in Tijuana but those are different stories. Never a sweet drink - or drinks mixed with coke, etc. A dry red wine with a good steak works too. As the son of a service member I spent my senor year in high school (1966- 19967) in Stuttgart - and drank liters of Dinklelacker at a Mark 50 (then it was 5 DM to the dollar - you do the math) and hit all the beer tents during both Oktoberfest and Fasching but finding the watered down imported version - ok. I did get an invitation to attend the German Squadrons at NAS Oktoberfest once and they flew in kegs of the good stuff.

Now my weight and blood sugar have dictated extreme reduction to the point of practical abstinence for other than special occasions.

Does anyone know anything about Crown Royal XR in the red box. I got it as a gift and all I know is that it retailed for $180 a bottle a few years ago when it was produced. Now it is no longer made and will never be made again and I'm thinking about moving it instead of drinking it. I would rather trade or sell it than drink it. Here is a generic pic of it I got off the internet.

It is amazing how someone can manipulate the interweb, today I was asked by a friend to check out Google Earth and type in the search box nigga house. Just out of curiosity I did, I got a quick chuckle and quickly moved on to other business. If you are at all interested in seeing what happens give it a try.

If you enjoy whiskey then why not keep it and enjoy it on special occasions? Unless it's appreciated enough to make a major financial difference in your life then keep it and enjoy the rare gift you got.
