I'm already sick of hearing about all of the Shot Show stuff. There might be one or two cool things that come out this week, but I just don't care for the most part.

Wow, congrats on the new Black Dog! That's gonna be sweet! Finishing in the same color pattern?

Shot is new to me, but quickly learning that i is mostly hype & bluster. Not to mention companies that say "Yeah it'll be on the market soon!" and then 9 months later they start shipping. Meh.

Oh that new P320 X5 is a "Game Changer", you're not ready to buy one & sell the CZ's?

The new Blackdog is going to look very similar to my current gun, but the slide is going to be Tungsten cerakote rather than bronze. Everything else is going to be black.

I'd like to handle and shoot the new P320 X5, but I've never been a huge fan of Sigs in the past. Definitely not ready to give up my CZ's.

I was hoping the color would be a little different, just to make it easier to tell them apart!

The P320 is a really cool gun, the trigger does break very clean for a striker. However, the big and I mean BIG issues with 320 guns is the trigger weight (over 7 pounds). Right now there are two 'smiths who are publicly working on them with prices in the $300 range, wait times to 3 months, and no aftermarket parts available yet. I do not see the 320 taking off for USPSA production until parts are offered. Not to mention the cost of a 320 X5 appears to be $800 retail. That is ~$200 more than a stock SP-01 and ~$100 less than a Tanfo, and the mags are a minimum of $34 each.

Yeah, I know some folks that got out of the 320 game because of the (unknown) lead time on a Gray Guns trigger.

My 300 Blackout SIG MCX conversion kit arrived (ordered April 11, 2016). Installed it and did a quick function test fire in the yard. Functions fine. This week I'll do some accuracy testing with it. Still have not received the shipping box to return the MCX for the bolt/bolt carrier recall and doubt I'll receive it for some time, based upon comments by other MCX owners. Meanwhile, the MCX is always pointed in a safe direction.

Sold 3 P320 magazines, recouping nearly all of my money.

Bought some Henning base pads for the Tanfo, and Hennings Smooth grips to slap some skate tape over, again for the Tanfo.

Need to sell my RIA 1911 in 9mm and/or the P320 RX to fund another Tanfo Stock 2....

Yeah, single stack there isn't enough competition and I guess, the same goes for Carry Optics. There is just so much more heat in production and I've got a few local & internet commandos I want to smash at the majors. Haha.

Not to mention the Tanfo shoots awesome, fits my hand so well, stupid easy to work on, and boringly reliable.

Put my SIG MCX Blackout conversion kit into my MCX. Had many many failures to lock back bolt on empty mag, no matter what the load, gas setting or whether suppressor mounted or not. Then it dawned on me that I was using my old Magpul “range” mag…it’s been fired thousands of rounds and looks pretty tired. Tried newer magpul and AR Stoner mags and perfect functioning. Found an accurate load for hunting. Got notice that my box to return the whole MCX to SIG for the bolt carrier and trigger upgrade is due tomorrow, so I hope to have the rifle shipped out Friday.

Sighted in my newly traded for S&W Model 66 (1973 vintage). Shoots nice.

Un-tacti-cooled one of my AK's. Back to wood. Will soon be selling a US Palm forend and a Magpul Zhukov (folding stock, I think it's the Zhukov) both in fde son.

Did a little shooting yesterday. Up'd my loads on my .308 Subsonic R&D. Went from 8.5gr of 700x to a few at 8.8gr and some at 9gr. At 9gr of 700x they were getting upwards of 1050 fps but were still very quiet. The 8.8gr loads stayed just under 1050 fps (Perfect) I was shooting the Sierra Match Kings Round Nose 220gr Bullets.

Also loaded some 300 Blackout with 110gr Nosler Varmageddon and 20gr of H110. Shot them with my 300 BO Build. I shot them with the suppressor on and off and did not make much of a difference on POI.

Also did a little tractor work and added dirt to one of the berms.

The empty deer corn bags served well as a make shift brass catcher. LOL

I would think your altitude would produce a very close speed of sound to my location, 245 feet, 1,117 fps. If correct you can push on up to near 1,100 if your SD and ES are tight like 10 fps or less.

Yes you are correct, but I like to have subsonic loads that will work anywhere. I remember shooting at Jason's house up in Baker, FL and those crappy EBR rnds would be nice and quiet but at my place they would be a little noisy. Temp could had alot to do with that also that day OR I just happen to get lucky at the time with the EBR subsonic ammo. Like I said before I don't trust that stuff at all. I just been shooting up what I have and reusing the brass.

Temp does have alot to do with the sound barrier. I am probably good loading at 9gr of 700x and run with that for a while and do some more testing.

Well Daezee and I were at it again today. Spent a few hours at the property shooting steel. No Chrony's this time just fun...

Daezee shot his Rugers .223 and the .308 and we were both giggling at the neat sound you hear 200 yards away when that steel gets hit. It's sounds like someone shooting a pistol down there.

I shot my 300 Blackout 16" with 110gr full power loads and prove to be very accurate at 200 yrs. with the 4x Acog.

Then I shot my Rem700 with some more 220gr and 180gr Subsonic loads. After sighting in it at 100 yards with subsonic ammo at 200 yds I had to turn the turret a complete rotation at .1 mrads and i rotation is 5 mrads. I'm new to the mrad scope so google is my friend and found this info.

This is the SWFA SS 3-15 x 42 Scope

An mrad will subtend 3.6 inches at a distance of 100 yards. Most riflescopes using mrad adjustments will use .1 mrad clicks which subtend .36 inches at 100 yards. Both mrad and MOA measurements are effective for ranging and bullet trajectory drop compensation in reticle designs.

Here are some Pics and Videos.

Well, no thanks to the GCGF, I just sold three ARs to one person. This person bought my TAVOR last year about this time. Now, I have about 7 more to go. One more goes tomorrow and another on Monday. Today was a good day and a sad one. Hey, I still will have plenty of ARs to last me. I am also working on another retro AR build right now. Who knows, I may do more of those.

This is such a terrible place with our rules and such...I would've appreciated a response to the pm I sent you. Since you feel the need to bash openly in a thread you know gets a lot of traffic, I ask, what's your deal man? We. Have. Rules.
Wouldn't be surprised if some of the "buyers" were from this forum anyway...

Know whatcha mean. Sometimes I just go into my reloading/gun room and just sit at my bench . . . . kinda like in a suspended state. My wife has gotta hollar loud just to snap be back to reality. Afterwards, can't even remember what I was thinking/dreaming.
Makes me feel better though, soooooooo. --- SAWMAN
