My ad for silver coins on craig's list got flagged and deleted. You'd think with all the gun stuff being listed the flagger police would have plenty to do.

Why is an ad for buying silver against the rules on Craigslist? The gun rule almost makes since but silver should be legal.

Looking to buy US silver coins in any condition. Paying 25X face value for silver dimes, quarters, halves and silver dollars, fine silver coins too. Have some ammo, brass, bullets, powder and primers to trade for them also. I am a collector, not a dealer so this is not a business.

Hey Rick, I have silver,,,,,,lol Let me see what I have....ok, I have 3 Eisenhower silver dollars, 1971, 1972, w/ eagles on the back and a bicentennial( 1776-1976), with Eisenhower on the front and the moon and Liberty Bell on the back,,,and a 1 troy oz .999 fine with Liberty on the front and stars, an eagle with w/ shield on the back.

The Ike dollars are clad, not silver. They're worth a buck !!! The other coin sounds like a 1 oz Silver Eagle. If it is I'll give you $35 for it. Bring it with you when we do the ammo trade.

I have no idea. Craig's list flaggers are getting really bad at flagging ads that have nothing to do with any prohibited items. Several people have reported the flaggers but c.l. doesn't seem to do anything about it. These people really do need to get a life.

There were some Ike Silver Dollars...yrs:1971, 72, 73, 74, 76 'S' mint mark that weigh in at 24.59 grams; worth around $9.74 at today's silver rate....

On a side note to the metal detecting you mentioned, looking for meteorites...good luck they are mostly found out west in the desert environments, hard as hens teeth to find anywhere's else...Im just sayin'

That thought did cross my mind, but they risk getting banned if they do it too often.

Yea, there are some 40% Ikes around, but they're rarer than the aforementioned hen's teeth. As a matter of fact they only came in presentation sets and only in 1970 if my info is correct.

I know it's nearly impossible to find iron meterorites around here, way too much wooded area. So what all have you found of value so far?
