The alternative is me sourcing a new mainspring, which I already have a couple and changing the grips back to the factory wood ones. I trust my hands more then a strangers. I've repaired guns off and on for the majority of my adult life. I'm confident I can keep most any civilian weapon running...
Your probably right. However I'm gonna gave to pay for repairs. They only cover the repairs if it's 2 years old or less. Otherwise I'm gonna end up spending another 250ish. At that point I may as well buy a new one
Found the issue. It's the folding grip. I took the grip off and noticed the main spring slightly out of place and loose with the hammer down. I adjusted the spring back into position and re assembled. The moment I fold the grip back I hear a distinct click and the mainspring has slipped back out...
I also noticed if I pull the trigger with the hammer all the way down the hammer moves back enough to clear the notch. Edit, I just took the fold grip off and the main spring and the other one that pushes the arm up to rotate the cylinder. Looks fine in there.
Here is the pictures of the hammer as requested. Everything functions great except for the safety notch for some odd reason. I'm probably gonna replace the main spring and see what happens.
It's not that it won't contact. The safety notch functions but you blow on the hammer too hard it will come out and free the cylinder up. I'm rocking it today at work. I wear galls pants with a build in mag pouch. I'm not fiddling with it. Just occasionally opening the pocket and looking in and...
I'll post those after work today. I'm thinking the mainspring. Because the mainspring should be in direct contact with the hammer. Maybe it's just worn. I emailed them yesterday but no answer yet.
I have a buddy that was in the marines, his unit got some elcans for their m249s. Anyways, the case said 5.56 reticle on it. Looking through the reticle it said 7.62 and wouldn't hold zero at all. His unit got a bunch of fakes.
Okay so the first 2 pictures are "hammer down" no spring tension at all. The 3rd Pic is "half cock" the hammer moves freely before the first click. At half cock is when the spring tension starts. I've shot it off my porch and everything seems to work fine. Except the "safety notch" which I feel...
I had considered getting one of those, however I have seen them first hand break firing pins where only 1 of the barrels will fire. Naa is made in provo utah.
How does your safety notch function? Mine will go into the notch but if you barely touch the hammer it will slip out and unlock the cylinder. Not a huge deal. I'd carry it either half cock or over an empty chamber. My hammer has alot of movement forward and backward before it clicks and it will...
