The golf balls help stimulate them starting.. ceramic eggs or other similar shaped items work too

Those look rinsed? If they are they need refrigerated.. instead..if you just towel wipe them until ready to cook they can sit on the counter for many many weeks without refrigeration…

I've always thought about that, a snake swallowing one of the fake eggs. Time will tell I guess.

I’ve had a couple of snakes that couldn’t get out of the pen because they had swallowed a biddy or two. Getting caught in the chicken pen is usually fatal.

Fantastic activity for the family but my experience was that chickens are not eggonomically feasible.
