Got to dive the old Mark V rig at work a couple of weeks ago. Heavy suit to say the least. Not too bad once you get in the water.

hitting 95 today, with 90% humidity

airconditioning is wonderful.....this man ranks as numero uno in my book...

1902 Willis Carrier invents the Apparatus for Treating Air for the Sackett-Wilhelms Lithographing and Publishing Co. in Brooklyn, N.Y. The machine blows air over cold coils to control room temperature and humidity, keeping paper from wrinkling and ink aligned. Finding that other factories want to get in on the cooling action, Carrier establishes the Carrier Air Conditioning Company of America

Yeah it was. Nice to see how technology has lighten up things over the years now. I couldn't imagine working in that suit for 12+ hours. I have more respect for those old school divers for sure.

High pressure has settled over us, going to be a hot dry week. If not for the High pressure sitting over us we would probably get some of that tropical moisture in the Gulf but thanks to the High Texas is going to get it and they don't need it! Spent yesterday at Crab Island keeping cool in the water!

Yep, its gonna be a rough one. I worked outside at the house Saturday then went on strike yesterday. Stayed in my shop with the AC running wide open.

I did the opposite. It rained just enough at my house on Saturday to prevent me from cutting the grass, so I stayed inside all day. I spent a good chunk of yesterday afternoon outside and it felt like an oven.

Saturday afternoon I met a friend at the Red Door in Destin overlooking the Harbor. Every Saturday and Sunday it's 2 for 1 drinks and with all their windows open it was nice sitting there in the shade feeling the breeze off the water, it was surprising cool considering the heat index was just North of 100 at the time!

I'm going to start back on the occasional wasted weekends sitting at a beach bar listening to the surf once I get past a certain point on my house. I may get froggie and get the boat out of storage once the new county ramp is finished. It's going in about 2 miles from my place. I used to love dropping the boat in a 4:00 AM and cruising to various marinas for breakfast then just motoring along sight seeing. Ran the canal a lot over to Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. Life was good when I used the old bikini barge.

I'm out in this stuff all damned day Monday through Friday and I can do Saturday but I'm getting to the point where I have to have one down day a week for recovery.

My yard seriously needs mowing and weed eating. I'll get to it. I like the place looking tight but sometimes you just gotta say screw it.

Crazydoc, I worked at a camp ground in La and the man started on his way to being a multi millonair in that kind of gear. He was from somewhere in Europe, Can't renember what country but started diveing at a young age. Worked his way up to being a BIG WIG with Exon. Was high enough up the pole that a Helo came to take him to work.

You would never know he had a dime to talk to him at first and didn't flant the fact that he had money.Saw him turn down 500,000 a year to come back several times. Not diveing just being a Big Wig again. So keep up to date on that old gear it could get you to high places.

(Reuters) - Michael Sam, the first openly gay player drafted into the NFL, was suspended by the Canadian Football League's Montreal Alouettes on Monday after the defensive lineman left the team's training camp last week for unexplained personal reasons.

Sam walked away from the Alouettes on Friday, one day before the team's pre-season opener, a 26-9 victory over the Ottawa Redblacks. By suspending Sam, the team freed up a roster spot and will retain his rights.

"There's nothing to tell you. He wanted to go home, and that's what he did," Alouettes General Manager Jim Popp told the Montreal Gazette. "I don't know why.

"When a guy wants to go home, they go home. He had some personal things to take care of."

Just ventured into the new Walmart at 9 mile and 29. Not busy had what I wanted. Over all a good experience. I see myself going back..

Tell us more Farook. Lots of hot babe's walking around? I haven't had a chance to go there yet. I hear they will carry a limited supply of firearms but decent ammo selection. There's been some rumors that they'll only sell .22lr with a 3 box limit.
