I know when were working all day at the hunting camp cutting down trees and clearing trails we survive on water and light beer! Generally up at day break and back to the house at sunset! We do always have a good breakfast (Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy) and break for lunch (Normally a Sandwich).

Gotta love how the internet keeps tack of your habits these days! I was on the QDMA forum today researching crop screens and went to Hancock Seed Company to check out some prices on seed and now a Hancock Seed Banner is the advertisement I see on the home page of this forum!

Maybe you should just get yourself one of those Big Ole Salt Licks and tie it around your neck !!! Like The big salt blocks we use to put out for the cows !!! That might cure you ....

Been coming in at 7 and home between 8 and 9 at night. I can't seem to get enough fluids. I took a break, went home and showered, ate at Chili's and drank 4 huge glasses of iced tea yesterday. I never took a leak till 9 that night. I've burned through Gatoraid like air and have killed a 5 gallon bottle of water in my personal cooler at work since Sunday morning. If I sit down the ground around me is soaked in 5 minutes.

Here's a weird thing for me. I dislike salty foods, don't like potato chips for that reason. I ate a family sized bag of Lay's plain chips last night when I got home, after dinner. And drank four Coronas, i usually cant do more than 2 without getting full. I NEVER do that. I just can't get enough salt right now.

try cold packs around your neck,..drink liquids (no more damn coronas after work, very bad for sweating much next day) at frigerator cold, not icecube cold...lots, lots of liquids, but eat spareingly, like maybe just chicken strips, fried of course, tom thumb does them ok...

powerade is better than gatorpiss...better flavors too...and an aspirin or two...

    call me in the morning...

I'm used to being outside all day and sweating gallons but I suspect my age is finally catching up and the no days off without a break.

Oh. Boo Hoo. Quit your bitchin and man up. Drink beer at night to relax and water during the day to hydrate. Old age is just in your head. The real obi1 never complained about that shit!!!

Yeah, thanks Jeep, I have them at work. My clothes get crusty and white.

Made a landfill run with my dump trailer this morning too. That place just smells terrific when it's hot outside. Looked around for Farook but guessing he's sitting in his air conditioned office.

    Jk

Hey, PM me your address. I have rehydration salt packets here at work I can send you. I'll pack around 25 of them for you. They have just electrolytes. It's orange flavored and no calories. Not the best tasting but work great. Drink 3 of them a day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. They work great.

Yeah, one time for a week I had ad banners for a Muslim women's fashion store, which I had no idea even exsisted.

For the record, the models might have been hot but who the hell knows with all those acres of clothes.

Yeah, I know about beer or alcohol but it just seems to hit the spot after drowning in Gatoraid, water and fruit juice all day.

As for eating, I eat very lightly on days like this. Watermelons for breakfast and mostly salad at lunch and dinner. Nothing heavy or fried. I dont think it would even stay down. No dairy either. I live a mile from work so I go home for lunch and eat light.

Tom Thumb: About the only thing I get in there is tea. Had a buddy come help me one day at work like today. We went to the store and he slammed a big chocolate milk, I warned him. About 2 minutes later it spewed back up like a fire hose.

I appreciate it doc but I had a buddy bring me some late this evening. Don't know where he got them but I suspect from about the same place as you. I do appreciate the thought and offer though.

And one last thought on thisnsubject: If you guys think I'm whining now, feel lucky I'm not doing this shit in 35°or lower temps. I would be crying like a little girl. Heat i can do, cold makes me a little bitch.

Well besides the oppressive heat, humidity and heat index we're experiencing... you dismantling/breaking down, packing-up, selling, shipping or tossing out(?), dealing with customer's inquires as to what's up, why, and what's next (and you possibly wondering the same)... I can understand why your particular job at this particular time could be quite.... shall we say, challenging, at this stage of the game.

Electrolytes by day and alcohol by night might just prove a winning strategy.

I've been out in -7 degree weather in North Dakota. It's so cold that every little piece of exposed skin just HURTS. Luckily, I only had to be outside for about 10 minutes while it was that cold.
