I like the whole setup and theme. Super job James.

Thanks, got a few more ideas, would love to have the red, white and blue flag design on the upper and lower but that's way beyond my skill level. Would probably be pretty $$ to have done. Like this one I shot.

Question - - -> How can the AR shooter acquire proper trigger finger placement (center of the pad ) without an oversized grip ??
This, unless of course you have girlie man hands. --- SAWMAN

    Random grab on the grip.

Compared to my .45 it has slightly thicker grips.

Wrap your hand high and tight on the rear of the grip . . THEN . . stick your finger through the trigger guard. Put the pad of your trigger finger in the center curve of the trigger. Does this feel "natural" and conducive to good accuracy ?? ---- SAWMAN

Feels ok to me? I see what your saying, it is different, but not bad. If anything it might help me, lol. Puts the tip of my finger in the lower 1/4 of the trigger.

Yesterday, being a nice day, I first went to my neighbor's range and tested cast bullet loads in my M94 Swede carbine, with satisfying results. In the afternoon I cast more 6.5mm bullets. This morning I started lubing and sizing them. Labor intensive, but results in a good bullet for the Swede, easy on the shoulder, bore, and wallet. Lyman 266469, 137gr cast of Lyman #2 alloy hardness, sized .266", lube 50% beeswax 50% Alox. With all those lube grooves, they do use a bit of lube.

Looks like a good batch of democracy soup! I've been wondering how the 6.5 seed stacks up to the 6.5 creedmore?

Finished assembling my new pistol lower I bought during Black Friday sales. Not sure if I’m going to keep it or not. I have a very nice SBR lower but wanted a pistol lower for ease of travel out of state. May sell this and just get a cheap PSA pistol lower for those rare occasions.

Geissele Automatics Super Duty stripped lower, marked 5.56, Mil-Spec

ALG Defense complete AR-15/M4 Mil-Spec lower parts kit with QMS trigger and A2 Grip

SB Tactical SBA3 Pistol Stabilizing brace.

Sons of Liberty Gun Works Mil-Spec receiver end plate and castle nut

Just missing a spring and buffer to be truly complete.

If I ever run out of shooting experiments to do, I will try cast bullets in the Grendel and Creedmoor.

A few years back , about 1997 I think. I bought everything I would need to cast bullets . I practiced till I got pretty good at it then cleaned it all up and stored it away. I have several 22 , 30 , 35 and 45 caliber molds and the related gear for each caliber. Live has slow down enough that it might just might be time to get it all out and start casting bullets . Best I can remember it was a enjoyable experience to make and use bullets that I made my self .

Got all excited this afternoon when I saw a bobcat while sitting in a ground blind on my property. My heart sank when I had a failure to fire. I've hunted in the rain twice and thought I had kept the rounds on the stock holder dry. I guess not..

Awwww man, that sucks. I bet it won't happen again! I use one of the case logic kayaking cases, about the size if a cellphone. If I get dunked, I've got extra dry ammo.

Today, I got shipping notification from Brownells on my new BRN-180 upper assembly, SIG SAUER MCX/MPX Minimalist folding stock, CMMG LPK, A1 pistol grip, and Midwest Industries Combat Rifle Sight set for a new build. The BRN-180 stripped forge lower is on backorder for a short while longer. The new Vortex Crossfire II will be here tomorrow. Looking forward to this build.
