Ants work good, but if outside your fence place a milk crate w big brick over it so critters dont run off with it.

Coyote head, ants, peroxide then painted by wife.

Iv noticed too the 4.5 inch barrels are 1:5 twist. It's not really a performance thing, just a blasting crap thing for fun. If the frangable rounds keyholed at <25 yards, even better.

I’ve got a rock river AR pistol with a 7.5 inch barrel it’s loud , I put a noveske flaming pig on it and that pushes the sound and the flame forward. But it’s still loud. The fireball is spectacular at night though.

I have a 10.5 with a std A2 bird cage: when fired below shoulder hight, I also feel sound wave concussion on my face. Nothing real bad but definitely noticeable.

I got some new stuff in today.

Here is the start of something new for me. I am building a BRN-180. I have the 16" BRN-180 upper assembly outfitted with Midwest Industries Combat Rifle Sights and a VORTEX Crossfire II. The BRN-180 forged lower is on backorder, so it will still be a while before i receive it. Once I get it, it will receive the CMMG LPK, a LaRue Tactical MBT-2S, a SIG SAUER Minimalist folding stock, and the Brownells A1 pistol grip.

Always fun to get a box of cool stuff. Look forward to seeing it built. Does the brno lower have small trigger / hammer pins or large? Mag release latch on left or right?

Yeah, Looking at it now, I think you're right. The hammer and trigger was both silver so I cerakoted it black, but I think I will have to take it apart and paint it bronze. It's funny that when my wife or daughters ask if "these shoes match the dress", I usually just say yes not really caring but when I look at a gun I am more critical.

May let ya paint my 1911 if ya get bored, I like that color.

Well that's good, less screwing around looking for weird parts. Is that sig brace the one that attaches to a pic rail? If so $$$. Tks

The BRN-180 lower has the 1913 rail on the rear of the receiver. The SIG stock mounts right to it. The stock runs about $211. It is great for us short guys, but for anyone over 5'6", they may prefer a longer stock. SIG also has a collapsible stock that also mounts on the 1913 rail. The Minimalist stock and collapsible stock are just that, stocks.

Yikes! They make and adapter to use a standard buffer tube as well. That's the route I'm going. It is pretty cool though.

Cast more 6.5mm bullets, about 450 of them. Estimate I’ve got 2000 on hand now. Gonna shoot some tomorrow.

Met some friends at ERGC yesterday for a "relaxed range day". Overall was a great time, picked up a bunch of brass(which is a great leg and core workout), and tried to share some knowledge and techniques. This what a NiB bcg looks like after a few hundred suppressed rounds. I need to invest in an ultrasonic cleaner...
