Today I finally got the mount for my scope on my new long range build. It’s now officially finished after about 2-3 months of deliberating and tinkering:

*Aero M5 in 6.5 CM
*Faxon nitrided SS fluted match barrel (24”)
*Magpul PRS custom camo stock, grip, Harris bipod
*JL Billet ultralight MLOK free-float rail
*MI 30-cal brake
*Rise Armament RA-434 single stage precision flat trigger
*JP Silent Captured Buffer system
*Aero Nitride BCG
*Breek Warhammer Ambi charging handle
*Viper 5-25x56 FFP MOA scope, JP cantilever mount.

Hope to get out to the range next Saturday and break her in.

nice! how did you get that color scheme on the furniture?

I actually bought it for someone on GB who had already had it done. I never did find out who did the custom colors.

looked over a 700P LTR for a possible trade. Sent 10 rounds total...best I could get was .5..my buddy got .25.
short...loud...muleish with 175 SMKs...scope needs to be farther away...consistent 2.13# trigger pull...bolt lugs have consistent paterns...maybe after on the first round the scope cap touching my eyebrow had something to do with my groups.

Finally got my Midwest Alpha top cover and put it on my 5.45 Saiga. Just need to get it refinished (still have yet to do it after getting the conversion done) and pick out an optic for it

I have never seen a LimbSaver that wasn't sticky and in need of replacement...this is on my recent pick up Beretta S56E in 20ga
looks like I might need to refinish it here shortly too

I went to the range for the fourth day in a row (up to about 900 rounds for the week and tomorrow should push it to 1200) getting ready for Area 6 weekend after next.

I reloaded almost all those rounds the day before using them so I‘ve been on the reloader every day for about 30 minutes a day, and I cleaned the gun after yesterdays session.

Dry fire on top of that and it’s been a heavy week for gun stuff!

Completed and signed paperwork for my "Camp Lejeune" water lawsuit. Lawyer put me in for $25,000,000 for cancers. Now what's that have to do with what gun stuff?...shooting friends asked me to not forget them (I replied, "And who are you?") and what guns did I want to buy with my cut after lawyer expenses. 1) An original condition with nice bore U.S. Krag carbine. 2) A full automatic BREN LMG in 303. Just simple gun wants.

shot 100 rounds at Sporting Clays this morning...noting to report...just the average 60-65%. The new little Beretta 20ga is a soft shooter but it has issues. Real hard to cock after firing and the top barrel didn't fire a couple of times...may be part of the cocking issue. I finished up the round with the 12ga 686.

I shot the local USPSA match today, and I was not entirely unhappy with the results!

Finally got back out to the range yesterday with my son. Got to run my Scar 17S now that it’s all set up and my new 6.5CM “sniper” build. Really nice results all around.

Tried out the rough rider 22 and snake shot on a cottonmouth that my daughter found at the electric meter. Its that time of year. Ran over one in the driveway friday. Lucky shot, i swear the plastic cap went through its head and smoked him.

I really don't know why, but ordered a new Howa 16" heavy threaded 6.5 ceedmoor, along with a DNZ game reaper mount & extra AICS mag. Kinda like I bought the Bell & Carlson stock for it 6 mo ago?? I guess I'm going to go ahead and pass on one of the 308s to my son...
