What has anyone heard about this place? My son was thinking about taking some classes over there and wanted me to go with him.

Awesome place, and the instructor is a really cool guy. I just took the stress fire course there the other day, it's a lot of fun. I'd say go for it.

I took his class with the wife and it was good. He does get some bad press but none of those issues came up while I was there. So I guess it's at your own risk.

I guess he offers some kind of tune up class for $120 that is for two shooters. I know I'm rusty from my ole LEO days and probably need someone to slap my hand and say NO NO! I'm just not into running and rolling around on the ground.

My only statement on him is this... I have real life expirence on more than one occasion on gun battle. I also know many instructors. I do not however know of one instructor that has anything good to say about captain RON.....

I don't know of any LEO in Santa Rosa or Escambia Counties that has anything good to say about el Capitain.... Much less any retail gun shops that look forward to a visit from him in their stores...

I was kinda wondering after reading his exploits. From past experiences I've learned those that can do the job, does it. Those that can't, teach.

I just remember my training from years ago when we were taught to forget about wearing a gun and handle the problem by other means. Of course back then there was no police brutality, just slips and falls. But we did have train, train and train on the range.

Jerome -- or JJ -- his screen name here is "oneshot". Feel free to shoot him a PM. He does classes of small groups at his place north of Jay regularly. He can discuss cost with you. I guarantee your wife will get good training and develop the skills and mindset to effectively use a firearm for self defense if the need arises.
