Now Kenny's just getting too big. Officially a small local shop no more.

Tested my PSA slim bbl 5.56 upper with a variety of loads. Found a few it really likes. Next trip will sight it in when I decide what scope to make its home on it.

Tested 4 loads in my new-to-me Ruger Blackhawk in .327 Magnum and sighted it in. It liked every load!

Yesterday, I made a trade with a fellow from Navarre. I traded away a couple of my STARS for a NIB Heritage Rough Rider .45LC SAA and a Triple K holster. I had been wanting a cowboy gun for a long time, but the right revolver had not come along until yesterday.

I'm glad thet don't put the safety on the big boys. Review please!

I hope to get it to the range soon. I need to pick up a couple boxes of ammo for it. I learned to shoot with a Colt Frontier Scout .22LR SAA starting back in the mid-1960s. This should have a lot more kick to it than that Colt.

This particular one does have one. This is from Heritage's website - "The action features a frame mounted inertia firing pin and transfer bar for added protection."

talked to a consultant/rep today about being a professional shooter. Then, finished her oil change services for her and continued about my day. *Sigh....

one can only wish to be so fortunate as to get paid to shoot, travel, compete, mingle with others in the industry, etc.

Clover must have needed some tires. Lol.

PM Steven785, getting to shoot at that level is a serious commitment. Much like a job. Imagine that. Haha.

The transfer bar for Ruger was a direct result of a law suit brought by a nimrod that was carrying a Blackhawk hunting. He ended up shooting himself in the leg when about 3 miles out in the woods. Said the gun just went off, but IMO it sounded a lot like he was playing with the gun while out in the woods. With the transfer bar the gun will not discharge unless the trigger is pulled. The hammer to firing pin distance, without the bar, in is not long enough to force the firing pin forwasd enough to impact the primer. So you can in fact carry six cartridges in a Ruger revolver, with a transfer bar, without any fear of an AD, unless you actually pull the trigger. The OM should be carried with 5 in a holster.
