that is a sweet looking rifle ! This started out as a barrel swap. I was getting inconsistent groups with my main rifle. 1 1/2 and than the next string it would shoot 1/2 min. I knew it was not me? So I ordered a new barrel from jp. while it was shipping, found the problem in rifle #1. ( screw for bi-pod was pushing on gas block) when I loaded up on the bi-pod, gas was escaping and the barrel was being pushed on. moved bipod down and rifle returned to consistent 1/2. didn't want to send barrel back or remove a good working barrel from the gun. So......... I built a whole new gun. with the look and feel of the original. Red accessories are my uspsa color, so........ original rifle below

I think I need to adjust my expander die.

    Maybe just a tad.....

Put 200 rounds through my new G34 MOS I picked up yesterday. The sights will have to be replaced as I cannot see the stock white Glock sights with my poor vision, but otherwise everything else is great.

I swapped the Dillon expander for the MBF expander and wasn't sure how much I needed to adjust it. Quite a bit, apparently.

Yesterday I loaded 10 rounds each of 5 different .40 loads using Titegroup and 180gr Blue Bullets. I'll chrono them once I get the Edge back from the gunsmith.

After I loaded that test ammo on the turret press, I setup the .40 Mr. Bullet Feeder on my 1050. I got really lucky on the adjustment. I just pulled a couple shims out and moved the nose guide slightly, and it has run perfectly.

After that, I sorted a bunch of brass that I've accumulated over the last several months. I also tumbled a bunch of 40 brass over the course of the day.

groups 2.jpggroups 1.jpgRange report. Jp barrel / drive line ,shot as advertised. Shot first 10 rounds setting scope and Gass block. Followed the Jp barrel recommend barrel breakin. J,b bore paste , clean shoot twenty. Repeat. Here are the groups shooting cheapest I could find crappie ammo. pictures won't load on my phone . I'll have to wait till I get back to the office . gun shot half a minute from the first round , recoil with almost non-existent . Back-to-back 5 round groups, covering a penny, while breaking the Barrel in. my 22 caliber M&P AR has more recoil . They claim the barrels shoot better after the first 200 rounds. Really ? Current round count 50. Complely exceeded my expectations. I will post pictures later. Going to stretch her legs out tomorrow at core.

It feels like a semi-wadcutter night. I keep a 1911 barrel that I blew up close by to remind me to slow down. Everything goes in the headspace gauge and gets weighed.

Had a good morning shooting at land today. It's HOT so picked up this nice fan from Lowes. Make a big difference.

Loaded up some .308 220 Gr Sierra Rd Nose subs to shoot at 200 yards. Load data (9gr of 700x Mag Primer) I get very good results with the Rem 700 and the YHM Ti-QD Suppressor. I can hit the center of a 12" steel target every time at 200 yards dialing the SWFA scope 118 1/4" clicks up. This scope is sighting in dead on at 200 yards with full .308 150 gr bullets (Freedom Munitions stuff) Just what I had at the time.

Friend of mine brought his Rem 700 .308 (All Black)

    Some Pics...

While transferring some AE XM193 from stripper clips into a loose can for a match tomorrow, a single round fell outside the box and onto the back side where I didn't notice it. I loaded the small ammo box into my range bag and moved onto other things. A few minutes later I noticed the round sitting on the table, grabbed it and was about to put it with the other rounds when, for no real reason, I looked the round over and saw this...
Now I remember looking at primers and cases as I unloaded the rounds but didn't inspect every round. Just a reminder fellas, never hurts to slow down and look.
*For reference this came out of an American Eagle XM193J 30rd clipper strip box. .

Went to the range with my dad this morning so he could shoot his new pistol he bought last month. Had a good time trying out his new gun and shooting my same old ones.
