Tested cast bullet loads in the Swedish M96 rifle and got a nice load for it; much easier to line up its sights than with the M94 carbine.
A friend gave me some "mystery" lead, about 30 pounds worth that someone before him had cast into round pigs of around 7 1/2 pounds each; harder than pure lead, but softer than #2 alloy. Next project is to figure out how much to mix with linotype to give me #2 alloy. Hoping it's 1 part linotype to 2 parts mystery lead...makes the expensive linotype last longer than the 1 part linotype to 1 part soft lead that I have to use with pure to near pure lead to make #2 alloy hardness.
